Trip odometers functionality

I've read the complaints on the 999.9 rollover characteristic, but that's about all I see. I've had Chevy vehicles recently with electric trip odometers, and all of them, when I press AND HOLD reset will jump to the miles since last vehicle start. I frequently leave for a destination where I need to bill a customer for the mileage and forget to reset it; I could hold reset and "begin" from leaving the house.

Does this exist on the HHR (2011 LT1)? If so, how do I access it?

Thanks!

George

I am not understanding your issue. I have two trip odometere (A & B). I reset my A when I fillup and have had no issues. It starts at 0 and continues until reset. The same is true for the B trip odometer. Granted it only goes to 999.9 then goes back to 0. If you forget to reset the trip odometer, it is not an HHR issue. Try writing down your mileage.

If I understand you correctly......NO. Once you press reset, it zeros back to whatever function has been displayed in the DIC (for those functions allowing reset).....as you are probably aware.

I have a chrysler LHS here. There is a feature for "Miles this trip" if you push the right combination of buttons in the right sequance before you start the engine.

You have to program that before you start to use the miles this trip feature and not just reset the odometer to zero.

There are also two trip odometers.
