Trys to start when I hook up battery...

So my 06 hhr trys to start when I hook up battery, what do I need to do?

Inspect your ignition switch, the battery wire to the fuse box then the one to the starter.

There must be more to this story. Like, why is the battery “unhooked” to begin with ?

Ok I checked battery cables the starter was loose and a post busted off so a different starter is in next is the switch

The battery was/is unhooked because I was working on the transmission (it's a long story)

That is what I understand.

Was the fuse box in any way involved in this secret work on the transmission?
