Uncool people
I HATE taking Morticia to any type parking lots, but when I do, I park as far away from the stores entrance all the way out in the boonies of the lot and I park taking up two or three spaces at such an angle that only a complete Moron could possibly park anywhere near her to ding her.
I will usually try finding that far out area that also has a curb on one side (drivers side) so theres NO possibility of anyone even trying to park on that side of me.
You know the far away areas no one but a car nut like myself wants to park in anyways.
I'd rather walk a mile than take a chance on getting a damn ding. I get real pissed off when a moron dings one of my cars.
Grounds for a good beat down in my book.

......I've had the dreaded "note" left on my old car, they even left the shopping cart right by the door to. The name 'James' and 'I'm sorry' on a TacoBell napkin was all I had to be mad at. I lit the napkin on fire and prayed to the shopping cart gods that he be struck by a rouge, speeding out of control, engulfed in flames, shopping cart on the happiest day of his life..........
At least they had the decency to leave a note. In 86 we were in new orleans for the worlds fair. I think irt was 86. We came out of the park only to find my dads Lincoln town car completely destroyed on the drivers side. it was totaled. No note or nothing. Come to find out it was a greyhound bus that was making a turn. We only found this out because a passenger on the bus reported it to NO PD, when they stopped at a rest area several hours away. So I feel ya. People suck.
My last new vehicle, back in '98 (last three vehicles purchases were "gently used" including the hhr), bought on a Friday, drove to work on Monday, on my way out to lunch, I find a door ding.
Three days old, and I get a door ding, I was so pissed. It lined right up to the car next to me, I wanted to key that car, but let it go.
FF to the hhr, three weeks after I bought it, I was t-boned in an intersection. It was repaired, but still a major dissapointment with my "new" car. Everything else with the HHR has been great.

It's a given-I got tired of repairing the damage so I park accordingly. Believe it or not, some people treat their cars like their sneakers. Just a way to get from point a to point b, and they don't care if they step on someones feet once in a while. Unfortunately lack of concern for others is a way of life all around for some folks.
In 1073 I had my 73 Pantera a few months, parked in a garage in Beverly Hills in an upscale building came out to find the panel behind the drivers side door had been pushed in thats where the gas tank is, it looked like someone had been leaning against the car, people just dont give a damn about other folks things.

It's really sad, but people just don't give a **** anymore. If you have something nicer than them, they have to bring you down in some way or another. I always park far away from the rest of the lot. I don't mind the exercise anyway!
