Any one heard of this, or using this?

I know most around here are using Mobil 1 including myself, just wondering if this would be worth it?

I don't think MAXLIFE is full synthetic. We sell valvoline and the SYNPOWER exceeds GM recommendations for synthetic oil. The DURABLEND is half synthetic and half mineral.

I bet if you can't prove from paperwork from a 3rd party that you did it on or before 3,000 miles, they will deny it. I would even bet that if you where 3-5 miles over the 3,000 they would say screw you. Maybe it is the pessimist, but I think it is a money making scheme by getting people to change their oil every 3k miles.


Edit: Just did a little reading and it does say if you do it yourself, not sure how they will have you prove it. I am not reading anymore as I will not be participating anyways. Good luck to those who do this as it sounds good if there are not alot of hoops

I've seen AND EXPERIENCED warrantees like this such as my 1987 Suzuki Samurai that I paid extra for a LIFETIME rust through warrantee via GM Mr Goodwrench. The warrantee contract was sold to another 3rd party company that went out of business. Maybe my warrantee was lifetime, but not the company that was backing it. As the saying goes, "if it's too good to be true, then..."

PS, I'm still driving the Samurai today and it's doing just fine.
