VIN number lookup

Hey all!

I'm very new here, so please bear with me!

I have looked at the sticky thread about VIN number info, and it seems that it's only general information, like style and where it was manufactured, etc.

Is there a site where you can input your VIN number and see what original equipment your particular vehicle shipped with?

I don't pick my HHR up until the first of the week and I'd love to see a list of all the options it comes with!

Thanks in advance!

Try this link:

http://www.compnine.com/vid.php

BTW, welcome to the group!

Tell us about your HHR.

Thanks Farmer!

I'm checking the site now. I get a huge page of results, but I can't tell which of the listed options are on my particular HHR. For instance, it says "UE1 COMMUNICATION SYSTEM VEHICLE, G.P.S. 1 GPS 1 VEH COMM SYS(UE1)"
And I know I don't have GPS. How do you read this?

I have to run out for a while, so I'll check back here this afternoon!

Thanks again for the help!

Well Musky what you can do is look in the glove box for the build tag. Its a small label with all the options your particular HHR was built with, things like AP3 or FE1. Once you find the label you can compare what it lists with the breakdown provided by compnine. Hope this helps.

There is a tag on the inside of the passenger glove box door that lists the option codes installed on your HHR.

I just did another search on my VIN using the link "VIN Decoder/RPO Finder" and get 40 lines of installed RPO options on my vehicle along with the number of vehicles built that exactly match my vehicle (BTW, there are only 2 HHRs identical to mine).

Did you use the VIN Decoder/RPO Finder link or the RPO Codes link? Are you searching using your VIN or are you looking at a list of Available RPO Options?

If you are looking at the VIN Decoder then UE1 is an option on your vehicle. Not knowing the year of your HHR, perhaps GPS was available but you would need to purchase the service, just like XM satellite radio.

I have been told your dealer can obtain a reprint of the window sticker. I don't know if this is true. Perhaps someone else on here can comment.

That makes sense! I'll do that when I get it home, Thanks!

That sounds like your vehicle was equipped with the factory OnStar equipment.
