What happened to the voting page for the monthly contest..??

 

Still there on the front page.

I think once a member votes, the voting column is then closed to that member.(one vote only allowed)
The vote totals will still be visible.

 

Well that's a good question, with no good answer except that somehow the image selected by us for the Voting Page had become corrupted.

We actually "Pre-Make" the Voting Pages using a template and post them to a "Staff Only" sub-Forum for testing.

Both our Senior Moderator whopper, and I "test drove" the page before it was posted up, it worked like it should.

But something glitched, so in the interests of fairness, I've extended the voting period by an additional 48 hours to allow those who may have not been able to view the corrupted image to vote.

Unfortunately, our parent company Internet Brands suffered a Cyber Attack last Thutsday, where you might have noticed thst ChevyHHR.net was gone for five hours.

The folks in El Segundo literally "pulled the plug" on the Server Farm and our suster sites to confine the attack and avoid any more damage than had already been done.

I'll log the image corruption issue and forward it to our IT troubleshooting crew in California.

Hummm...all the other one are in the "Featured HHR Submissions" thread...I guess I just assumed that's where this one would be as well...

 

I admit; it took me a while to see it, even though its in plain sight.

I may have been looking at it while it got fixed.

 

Yup "Front Page" first thread, and your image we selected had become corrupted, which is what I thought you were referring to.

It would not load either in the "Logged In" or "Logged Out" states, now it loads right up.

 

Ahhh, OK...I guess I put my last reply up about the same time you posted this. I can see the "Vote" page, but not the place to actually vote, or the votes already posted...Guess I'll go occupy myself with putting the new carbon fiber pedals on the Panel since I have an extra, and unexpected day off from the drudgery of another round trip to Chicago..

 

You should see the Polling results/choices if you've not voted section in a box directly above the Voting Page header.

If this i-Pad could do screen shots I'd pop one in here, as of now(10:07am) the vote stands at 5 to 8 in favor of your blue competitor.

But with the image that became corrupted, there's now an extra 48 hours of Voting, and these deals have come to either to a last second win...or an utter blowout.

 

To take a screenshot on your IPad press the home button and the power button at the same time! It'll show up in your photos
