Want To Bring More Owners To This Site

I'm seeing more HHRs in town all the time and wanted to design a laminated card to leave on their windshield. Are there any restrictions, guidelines, examples to go by? I don't want to violate any copywrite laws. I just want to get an HHR club going in this are like the corvette and mustang clubs already here.

I would be very careful if you were to place flyer's on folks cars. I only place a business card on the drivers side door between the glass and felt/wiper right where the door lock knobie is.
I really hate when flyer's are left on my windshield wiper, I always look to be sure no one scratched my car with buttons, zippers, snaps, keys or whatever as they leaned on my car to place that flyer.

The rule of thumb on copyright, is that as long as it is personal use and you will not profit from it you can take advantage of "fair use". I think in this case you'd be fine.

I hand out flyers when I see a HHR. I do use a pic of one of ours though, not a stock photo.

Hope this helps.

Sandy Are you aware of the HHR Club? They may have a local group there. There's a group close by here, so I joined. Now there are 2 members. (Yee-Haw!!)

Yep, my local one by Rob's Place is inactive. I tried when he first started it.... never got a response.

The thing about the HHR Club is that they require ALL chapter members to join the Club. At $35 bucks a year for not near as much info as here, not worth it IMO. There is only one benefit I see to it. If you have a function, you can get in on the group's liability insurance. But even then, it has to have HHR Club approval.

I put fliers in envelopes, and either handed them to a person driving, or put it on the windshield.
Only (1) response in almost a year.
The #`s are growing, but no interestees (I`m copyrighting that word) for a local club...

Paper flyers would just make owners mad when it rained and they stuck to the windshield. That's why I thought of laminated business cards. You can buy clear contact shelfing paper and use it to laminate the cards. I see another HHR at work every day but I believe they work 12-hour shifts and would never see the sticker on mine.

I just hate it that you guys in central Florida can get together all the time and we can't up here. The Harley or Gold Wing riders have rallies all the time. Why not HHRs?

Wait, Wait, the question is 'How to get more people to join this site'.
I think I know why most Adults may visit, and not join. It`s because this site is PG-13.
Most over 21 types don`t want to go back to 13 yr. old conversation level, with a hall monitor.
If a thread isn`t going towards a kiddie level, it`s locked.
Maybe the level could be raised to PG-17.
