Check your local laws on flyers before putting them on cars. Certain cities may only allow you to distribute flyers by hand. Putting them on cars may be considered littering.

Also need to be aware of any signs that say "NO SOLICITING"!

I would say a business card in the drivers side wiper, or drivers door window felt would be O.K., but the flyer on the wiper is one of the most annoying things I can think of.

When a car lover places a card on a car the owner will realize that the placer of the card is into cars and will take care not to scratch the paint.

When you find a flyer on your windshield, the only thing I can think of is did the upset, highschooler, who would rather be out vandilizing private property dent or scrath my fender as they leaned over the hood holding a stack of papers in one hand, big gulp soda in the other, with a cell phone held to there ear by their shoulder, and a set of mom or dads keys hanging out of their pocket, while they are running around trying to run out of flyers so they can be done and go to the lake with thier friends.

But that might be just the way I feel about it.

I think I know why most Adults may visit, and not join. It`s because this site is PG-13.
Most over 21 types don`t want to go back to 13 yr. old conversation level, with a hall monitor.
If a thread isn`t going towards a kiddie level, it`s locked.
Maybe the level could be raised to PG-17.
I kind of agree. Most over cars sites aren't so little kiddish. But the hall monitor part......all forums need mods and admins. You can even be censored or edited in the private adult premium member only section of the site.

I don`t have to touch any part of an HHR, to put a flier on the windshield, except the wiper.
A bunch of fliers all around would be evident, one on a specific window would indicate a personnal message, even if it was because something had happened to your ride, and the person couldn`t find you.

Handing them the information directly gives it that personal touch. (If your lucky enough to catch the driver/owner.)
The card I handed out today to a white HHR went to folks who said their HHR was free. Well, company owned. Free for them to use. Lucky ducks!

I don`t consider a veh. I drive for my co., even if it was assigned to me, to be in any way, shape, form or fashion, mine/free.

I think that the majority of people buying hhrs are just getting a fairly cheap second car or a grocery getter, they would have no interest in doing anything to there car other than driving it to soccer practice and the store. So they would not even consider joining an online forum.
You will find most Auto forums are really about , sport type cars, import tuning and the 20 something car clubs(Tibs, rx8 bimmers etc...) these people are more auto enthusiasts,
they buy not for practicality. and yes they do not seem to have a PG 13 atmospere.

Is this the new car of "soccer moms"? Oh no! I just got away from a minivan and thought I was moving into a stylish different kind of car. Since the boys are grown, I no longer want to be a "soccer mom".
