This wasn't an ABS vibration..this was...the steering wheel shaking my hand/arm vibration. when i came to a stop the slow-down felt like i was going over small humps in the road. really annoying...

Whats the condition of the tire treads? Any uneven wear on the front tires ?
Any excessive play in the steering linkage or tie rod ends or ball joints ?

I have the same problem but I just havent gotten it into the shop...it's gotten really bad as of late...I have just over 12k on mine...and no it's not an ABS thing cuz I dont have ABS...I think most of the people on here being car enthusiasts and what not would know what the ABS feels like...

yeah...its def. not ABS. make sure you call chevy and report the prob. if we get enough things happening with the rotors..we might get a replacement. who knows... as for the tire treads and all that mess you asked about (hvrod)... everything is normal there. tires still look new.

Improper wheel nut torquing will also cause rotor warp and brake pedal pulse. Something one can do at home, if you have a good torque wrench, loosen the nuts (wheel off the ground)and retorque evenly in a star pattern to the recommended torque.........

I too had this problem with my HHR. Only I was on a road trip from Ohio to Minnesota. It is not a great feeling, and I was unable to get to a Chevy dealer in MN, so I had to deal with the vibration for 800 miles. Not cool, but was repaired under warranty (i too recieved the "turn"). Maybe we have bad rotors, because I remember I had this problem with the rear disks on my Mazda Protege. They were replaced under warranty twice!
