Water leaks

New to the form, nice to have a home.
I have a LT2 loaded with sunroof, crome package, and have water coming into the front passanger floorboard when it rain heavy. Has anyone had the same problem?

Project: making cross bars for the factory racks. I'm making then out off 1.25 alum solid bar, with a built in racheting strap to hold surfboard down. It should be cool when done and polised and anidized clear.

Still leaking, it's raining to day and when i got in the car this morning it was dry. Drove to work and it was wet on the passanger floor. It's now at the dealer. I'm wondering if it's coming from under, or maybe the running boards. I can't get it to leak when i wash the car, or spray water around the door and roof. Hope this time they can find the leak.

Thats one of those killer annoying "bugs" when your having to search the car for a leak like that. Wishin ya luck on them finding it!

I'm betting it's up on the firewall under the passenger side. Get in the car and feel up on the front wall behind the glove box. There could be a rubber grommet that is not fully seated up there, causing water to run down inside.

Check it out.

I hope ypu find it soon. although you would have one cool hot tub, if they can't fix it. Just kidding, I would hate to see a HHR made up in such a way.

Still have not found the leak, maybe a rental tonight (corvette haha). The water seems to pool by the p/s door seal on the floor and by the seat. The firewall seems dry. This might have to be something I find, if the dealership can't find. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the info.

If you have a firewall gasket seal leak, the water will run under the carpet and pool up on the floor. I would double-check for leaks on the firewall just to be sure.

Sorry to hear of your problem - this is not fun!
Best of luck in getting it resolved through your dealership.
