Brake/signal lights

Hi Rad

I didn't take enough pictures. I have two brake lenses for sale but you also need the cans, the part that goes inside the car to hold the lenses in -- plus you need the wiring sockets because the brake bulbs are different sizes than the backup lights. Lights won't look the same if you use the backup bulbs with the brake light.

So go to a salvage yard and get the lenses, the cans, and as much wiring and you can get.

As I said the hardest thing was removing the metal so that the brake lights would fit.

I intend to use smoke spray paint. Others have had good luck with it.

I can seel you my spare Brake lenses for $30.00 plus shipping.

Brake/signal lights

Hi

I tried every cutting tool I had. 3 different snips and round files. You end up taking more than 3/8 of the metal out of the round hole. I put the round file in my 1/4 inch drill motor to clean up the edges. Heck of a job using the file by hand.
a die grinder would work too.

I have another light to do today and I am going to Home Depot to see if I can find a small pair of snips that will cut round rather than straight lines.

I like the look.

Hello Boydie,

Thanks, I am glad you like it. Yes the grille is upside down, which is completely intentional. If you you look at the 1950-53 Buick Super 8's, they have a very similar over all shape as this upside down Enclave grille. As for the Buick Tri-Shield, it will be rotated 180° so that it's flying right!
