Last edited by Oldblue; Feb 26, 2014 at 03:04 PM. Reason: I was drooling at the time and incorrectly spelled Porterhouse

Is that the house on the left side or a brand of wine???

Just having fun since it appears today will be, "find the mistakes in spelling day".

Took our '07 to the dealer for an oil change. I know, but I'm lazy and the dealer has always done everything to it. I've never laid a hand on it.
That is about to change.
The dealer, although I had an appointment, took an hour and 45 min to change the oil then gave me an estimate of $833 to do the 100K service.
Since I'm retired now I will be doing the service myself. I've always done my own and still do my other (older) vehicles except for the HHR. It's been our second car since it was new.
After I got home, and read some on this forum, I found the cabin air filter has never been changed! I didn't realize it had a cabin filter.
After all the vehicles brought and all the regular visits I'm though with that dealer.
It's been too good of a vehicle to not do a better job of keeping it up.

Based on what I'm seeing about the ignition recall, etc. I bought a detachable keychain for my keys - can detach the HHR key and not have a heavier keychain hanging from the ignition...

If heavy keys can do what they are doing so could a large pothole. The issue is with securing the wiring inside against weight, but the device itself has weight does it not?

I mean if 3 lbs of keys can kill ya, so could a big bump in the road, gravity does more than that each speedbump.

HHR is still in the shop...get it on Sunday!

...so instead I bought more parts for my Scion project. Adjustable Monroe air shocks to go with the coilovers I have incoming! Also got a few cosmetic things.

dealer informed me to call GM customer service, they told me to only use the key and no other weight not even the FOB, maybe May before the parts are available
