Sitting here, just watched yesterday's NASCAR race, a wild finally to a great year! And I look outside at the 2 inches or so of snow on Oldblue. Oh well I'm not allowed to drive yet anyways!!

Got a wrecked 2006 Cobalt SS/NA. Gonna grab the rear axle for my disc conversion and mod the catback to fit. Then parting it out to get my money back.

Looks like you have few evenings planned Frenchy!
I'm just sitting watching the sunrise wondering where all the snow is, we are supposed to have a major storm last night but this morning clear blue sky and sunny!! I'll enjoy that!

Why would you want the catback from it? Is it aftermarket?

It was a 2.4, same exhaust as SS/SC, which is considerably larger and less restrictive than the 2.2. And honestly, I got the car for less than it would have been to buy just the rear axle, let alone the cat back.

Changed the oil and cabin filter. Looks like the old one was probably the original. That's about 100k miles of gross that I was breathing in... Now she's all ready to make the 2400 mile trek to Michigan!

On a side note, have any 2.2 or 2.4 guys cored the 2nd cat on the factory downpipe? I know it's a common mod for the SS guys, just wondering if there is anything to be gained from it since I'll have access to it anyway when I swap the catback's.

Watched the outside temp readout on Paddy plummet from the relatively toasty 45 degrees in the garage to 25 degrees by the time I got to Charlotte.

Our high here was 38 degrees, the first time in nearly a century when we didn't break 40 degrees for an afternoon high in November.

Global Warming my butt, and those of you in the snowbelt, I don't know how you stand it.
