Drove to the lumber yard, no not the big box store a real honest to goodness 70 plus years in business lumber yard.
Picked up 12 6x6x10 fence posts in 2 trips, the Canucks handled the extra 600 lbs without a groan or bottom out grunt, of course on the way home it started to pour down rain so unloading solo was a task , but I got the job done now to just sit and wait for the post hole contractor to come dig the holes and set these posts.

Replaced the timing chain tensioner today. As you can see it was cracked and on its last leg. I did it the right way and popped the valve covers off. I found it helpful to remove the cowl so you can get a breaker bar in there. Alittle tight on the clearance. Runs super smooth now, no sowing machine on cold start up.

Not a recommended oil, stick with Dexos labelled oil!
Yeah, been thinking more about this myself. In another 1k miles or so I'll switch it to "regular" Dexos rated stuff.....
The way we're putting the miles on, that won't be very long. Coming up on 2500 in 3 weeks of ownership

A true "in the nick of time" deal there Twistedtat, just a few more miles and things could have gone totally downhill fast.

As for me, we visited Mom at the Hospice House, then I dropped Michelle and Dusty off at the condo before driving Paddy until I processed the talk I had with our Pastor and "got my head on straight again".

it took 300 miles of driving to do the trick, just watching the road unwind under his wheels while the steady rumble of the exhaust helped me order my thoughts.

It's been a rough couple of weeks gang, and I'm sorry that I let you down with my absence.

Take care of your family Mike. We are big kids and will survive. I do the same when stressed, just go for a drive. Something about cars. Had to drive to St. Louis today, my mom is in the icu with low oxygen levels and severe pneumonia. Which is bad at 73, bu5 she is a stubborn just like me, so she will pull through. Hope evryone is having a great day.

Oil change and new wheel bearings! I started hearing a humming sound a couple months ago whenever car reaches around 40mph+ (most noticeable between 40-45), so I figured it may be the wheel bearings. After a test drive, there is still humming. My next move includes replacing the driver and passenger CV axles, since both are pretty wobbly. If that doesn't do the trick, then I am not sure of the problem at hand.
