What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Spent this morning vacuuming up orange cat hair from the inside of my SS.
No. I don't let my cat in the car, much less take him for a ride. BUT..apparently he sneaked inside the other day when I returned home. I never saw him get in. Problem was, the little guy was stuck in there for over 24 hrs. since the car was locked up inside my shop ! Thankfully I went out to run an errand in the SS. I don't drive that car much and it can sit for days sometimes without being used. Wow. Could have been a cat-tragedy.
No damage done. Although he did "remove" my dash mat and had it rolled up on the drivers seat for a bed.
Thankfully the little guy didn't have to "go" while he was in there.
Lesson learned. If I don't see the little guy around for a while, I'll check all the vehicles. Sounds like he may have a new hobby.

Today: Oil change & air filter change
Cut a notch in the rear storage bin to fit my new lug wrench - it's a 2 foot long 50-250ft lb torque wrench with a 3/4" impact socket attached!
And planned out my next upgrade: Fresh Air Intake Hose replacement since the old one literally fell to pieces. I duct taped the old one back together till next weekend when I can install this:

Installed new KYB front struts, bearings and mounting on my wife's ' 06 2LT. Wow, huge difference. Front end feels like a new car again. The originals were shot. I bought the parts over a year ago but a house sale and move and purchase / fix-up of the new place took up a lot of time. KYB shocks on the rear are next.

The elbow $12 (which I may not need / use) and mounting plate $7 are by Spectre & purchased at Advance Auto Parts. Tube is actually semi-rigid flexible aluminum A/C duct 3" diameter which stretches up to 8 foot & is found at Lowes / Home Depot, etc... for about $10. I may have to make a mounting adapter to fit it on the airbox, but that shouldn't be to hard for me to do, & I have regular worm drive 3" stainless steel clamps to secure it on both ends.
