Blue at times you have to listen to a person your age.
Glad it worked out.

Decided to replace the original battery in my almost 8 year old key fob. Not having any issues, just a preventative maintenance thing.
Checked the voltage of the new battery. 3.27 volts. The voltage of the 8 year old battery was 3.23 volts.
Wow. Hard to believe the old one still had that much of a charge.

Guess I'm good to go for another 8 years or so.

Hmm. I wonder about my other fob, never used, tucked away in my desk drawer ? May just have to get it out and check it.

Of course I had to get out the other fob and check it.

3.25 volt charge in the battery after being in the desk drawer since Jan. of 2010.

George talk about batteries.
I did front brakes on mine and left the key on so I could turn it side to side to do the job. Got done about an hour and the battery was dead. Charged it up and thought to myself (self this Delco might just be 7 years old but still good). Then I said "nay" it's in my mind. Two day's later, and you can guess the rest.
Put an Interstate in it and all's good.
Waiting for the key fob case to replace (I hope) the issue with that. Did the clean/ battery thing but no dice.

Drove to Thorold to drop Sweetie off for baby sitting detail, with Willow and Hudson, HHR running much smoother, no hesitation.
Them I’m off to Eye specialist for glaucoma tests and field vision tests.

It's been nearly 3 weeks ago since I replaced my front brake pads and chose the AC Delco professional ceramic pads and wow what a difference. They claimed using ceramic pads would reduce brake dust and boy did it ever. Since I had my wheel covers off when I did the brake job, I hand washed them thoroughly. Today, there is only minimal amount of dust on them and drastically reduced for sure. No rain in the forcast for the next 5 days, so the HHR just might get a hot bath today.

I know this is redundant because of another post, but installed new key pad buttons and batteries in my key fobs. How long? Time will tell.
