Just happy to be cruising mine!

I have just been joy riding around town. testing the HHR. It is running smooth and cool (even though it is 90 some degrees out).

New Speakers

Well my left rear speaker went out, then my left front went out Being a little over budget I did some research and found a good deal on some Pioneer TS-A650R speakers. I read an article that said these are good to add some bass to a mobile. While I debated ordering from Crutchfeild so I could get the adapters, ordering adapters on ebay, I decided to take apart a door and check out a non working speaker to see how the "Zip Strip trick" was going to work. It works GREAT ! I then soldered the wires and shrink wrapped the connection. All four went very quick and sound pretty darn good. Way better than half the stock ones :) Now if I could just remember where I saw that set of tweeters on clearance. Thanks again to this forum for all the ideas!!!!

I think it's "zip tie trick" where he used zip ties to mount the new speakers instead of screwing them in.
