anybody ever plug a charger into the 12V and have half your radio stations turn to static?

 

No but , I do know about a dead radio after replacement of the battery.

 

Mine (aftermarket lock cap) does NOT say how many clicks as your pic does. I have always just went 1 click after tight. Been 10 years on my HHR & about 5 on my last S-10, never a code or issue.. I saved it from the S-10 & been using it ever since.

 

No codes today , I think, I might not have clicked the new AC Delco cap I just got from RockAuto.

I didn't want to glomp on to another person's thread/question... but I saw it mentioned (I think by donbrew) that the 12V receptacle and the cigarette lighter outlet are in fact different part #s... mine did have the smoker's package, so it has the lighter version... has anyone swapped them? any wiring issues?
maybe the fact I have the lighter version is the reason when I plugged in my phone charger it affected my radio stations (although I still don't really understand how) wondering if I can/should/should bother switching them

 

I’ve got the lighter eceptical from the BlackSwan, I installed a 12 volt power supply receptical, the wires are exactly the same
