Did the simple job of replacing my battery last night, to find the black fabric mat on the trunk floor is damp and starting to mold... Must have a leak somewhere!

Trying to decide how much of the interior to tear out to let it dry... This was not on my project list!

I washed mine in Saturday, it rained yesterday on Sunday and today I went out to start a panel by panel clay bar, buff and polish then wax.
It appears some fellow shopper decided to place his or hers cardboard box on the hood at some point , there are scratches very similar to that type of damage. So, I’m gonna call my body and painter guy and see if he will respray the hood.

Why not just buff out the clear coat ?
Are the scratches down to the primer ?
But then again, to each their own.

I considered that , however there are a significant amount of rock chips along the leading edge of the hood and a few good sized dents.
I will try to cut and buff the clear coat for the carton scratches , can’t hurt.
So, while I cut the grass, Sweetie went to her Mom’s to take her lunch, the check engine light came in again P0496, and I have ordered a new EVAP purge valve, I don’t have a known good one for a temporary replacement.

Paul- Sorry to hear, does yours have a sunroof ? Those have been known to leak on some.

Cat Man- That is a saying my Dad used to say. Haven't heard it in ages..

Mine- Sleeping peacefully on the Battery MINDer® while I spent a good day out in the sun edging everything in site. At one point I was edging in the neighbors yard. LOL
