What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
I received the dark chrome script in the mail this morning! Thank very kindly! Now to figure out where it will look the best.
I finally installed the new rear calipers, along with new rotors:
Now I need to put new rotors on the front and paint the Brembo calipers.
I pumped new fluid through the system (Prestone DOT3 synthetic brake fluid). For the record, it took about a quart of new fluid. I sucked the old fluid out of the reservoir and filled it with new fluid. then bled the rear new calipers. Finally, I bled the front Brembos just to make sure new fluid got into those as well. The old fluid looked pretty good. I have seen cases where the old fluid looked very dark on other cars.

The problem is the curvature if the top piece of the grille distorts the decal .
today an emergency run to Sweetie’s mom’s house, seems the old tree out front left a bunch of roots when the city cut it down a few years ago, now those roots need water, and the 58 year old waste water drain pipe seems perfectly good place to get water . There’s 7 inches of sewer water in her basement, yeah! Looks like I’ll be renting a backhoe to dig out the drain pipe and weepers to take care of this problem, the city acknowledges it was their tree on their property, but the roots aren’t their problem. I put a call into the mayor’s office, he’s going to stop by later this evening to assess the situation and make a decision about this issue, fun wow!
