What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
It was the same with me. At first I was like meh, then I noticed I was taking corners and ramps at higher speeds. Now I drive the thing like a maniac since I feel it can handle it.
Today I discovered that in 2006, our little trucklets have the turn signal cancelling tripper integrated in the clock spring assembly.
A big shoutout to my local salvege yard for the oppurtunity to investigate.
I also discovered that mine can be repaired as the 'broken' part is a snap in piece.
Now all I have to do is remove my steering wheel, again, remove the clockspring assembly and reattach the piece or pieces.
All without allowing the spring to rotate.
I will have a spare clockspring just in case mine can't be fixed.
AHH, the joys of retirement.
