I have a different light set up. And haven't seen that, even in the 4 junk yard cars I looked through several times. Does that stay on all the time???
That light was mostly to illuminate the window switches I surmise. It doesn’t exist in cars the have the banks of window switches on the driver door, i.e., all SS and 2009 and later LS/LT.

went down the the local Wallyworld and had the oil changed... 10 min and $22 later, I was on my way. cheaper and easier than doing it myself in the snowbank. only 17 degrees out today, a major warming trend I guess.
Today I have 2 news,
as it is accepted, bad and good.
Bad: my rear shock absorbers died without regaining consciousness after a severe long illness.
Good: the price of gasoline has fallen, which has not happened for many years. Filled the tank cheaper by 100 rubles. A trifle, but nice.

Bummer about your shocks.
Good to hear you have some good news with slightly lower fuel prices !
Best to you and your family

I have a nice used still very good pair of FE5 shocks you could have for free but I’m afraid getting them to you presents challenges.
What is the price per liter right now? Ours is up about 25% in the past month. Been around $4.09/gallon ($1.08/liter, something on the order of 135rubles/liter, maybe?) Lower than the national average, cheap by world standards, but people are complaining bitterly. Fortunately our gas-sipping HHR 2.2L only averages about 20 miles/day.
For those who don’t want to look it up, 100 rubles is about $0.80 right now. Ish. Complicated market. Now I wonder what the “informal” $ -> ruble rate is.
Radco, PulpFriction I thanks, guys, for your input.
I bought shock absorbers. This is Kayaba. I did this in advance when I realized that my shock absorbers were dying.
PulpFriction - I'm touched by your suggestion, it's valuable to me, especially in these difficult times. Thank you for this. Shipping will be really expensive. If your offer is still valid, in the future I may ask you to buy some spare parts for me and send them to my address. Of course, when I find a way to send you money. Paypal, Visa and many other financial systems have so far stopped working in Russia. About gasoline: I use AI92 from Lukoil. This is the most expensive manufacturer, but is famous for its high quality fuel. I believe that saving on the quality of fuel and oil leads to high repair costs in the long run.
AI92 Lukoil cost yesterday 47.48 rubles / liter (0.41 USD / liter), before the invasion of Ukraine 47.98 rubles / liter (0.65 USD / liter). It must be borne in mind that before the invasion of Ukraine, the dollar was lower. For illustration, the graph of the AI92 price dynamics in the whole of the Russian Federation.
About the dollar: "Now I wonder what the “informal" $ -> ruble rate is". I don't know if I understood your question correctly, but I'll try to answer.
The official exchange rate of the ruble against the dollar is set by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. He does it simply - every day he looks at the dollar exchange rate on the Moscow Currency Exchange at noon Moscow time (or at 13.00, I don’t know for sure). What is the exchange rate at this time - this will be official until the next day of trading.
What is the unofficial dollar exchange rate... Long gone are the days when criminals wandered around in crowded places and muttered: "I will buy dollars dearly." I can assume that they mean the prices of banks for the real purchase / sale of currency at any given moment. Banks themselves set these prices at their own discretion. Now these prices exist too, but real transactions practically do not exist. Few people want to get rid of the currency, they are waiting for developments. Few people travel abroad these days either; currency is not bought for these purposes.
Gold is bought up well in investment bars. The state has canceled VAT on purchases and people are investing in precious metals.
The general trend is to prevent an uncontrolled fall of the ruble, and in the future to ensure its growth.
Yesterday and today the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation = 116 rubles / 1USD
I have a 2002 and a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban, both 3/4 ton models with 8.1L engines. Gas tanks are 39 gallon each. The 2005 has 4.11 front and rear axles.
Needless to say, cost per mile is not good. They are reserved for hauling cargo and pulling trailers. Otherwise it's the HHR SSs or the minivan.
