Left the HHR's at home and walked to the annual car show. A (non-participating) pickup conversion there, one I've seen (& posted) before, but with some new paint.

The hatch, now the back of the cab, still works.

oil change today

and on my way there I passed another silver HHR with the same grille set up as me! the only other one I've seen where they body-colored the edges was the one I got the idea from, a guy on facebook with an orange one... super weird to see another silver one right next to me!

But nice to be copied, best compliment to your work on your HHR.

Today, not much . Maybe a cruise this afternoon or evening out for a coffee.

Not 'today' but in the past week:
oil changed
rotated tires
checked front brake pads
replaced 2 bad tires
replaced factory radio
replaced all 4 door speakers

On list to do, but didn't get around to:
replace headlights - one of the two low-beam LED's on the passenger side went out (installed Oct 2020), so I'm replacing both bulbs.
move rear LED turn signal bulbs (amber) to front & put in new red LED tail light/turn signals
clean out Airaid air filter - got the one that doesn't need to be oiled
change brake fluid
fix turn signal control arm
replace driver side power window control module.

Had 5 days off, should have had enough time, but I did things the hard way & ended up spending 3 days on the whole radio/speaker swap instead of just a few hours.... got 3 more days off coming up, should be able to finish the rest then!

Drove it to lunch with family, then the Sunday cemetery visit, watered tge floors and lit a candle for Sweetie’s Mom’s birthday, she would have been 89 today, still sad she’s gone .

Today I took inventory of our cold weather gear for our winter drives. Then I cruised over to our favourite coffee shop for a double double and a walnut crunch donut 🍩 then when I got home I checked on the struts and shocks the_shmoo and I picked up a month ago, the struts and shocks are toast the shaft sinks down into them under its own weight and has to be pulled back up. The rear springs are in nice condition and the fronts seem ok, a little rusty but the scale cleans off easy like the powder coating has failed. I’m going to install them into BlackSwan and measure any drop in altitude.

Nice weather, so out with the old, in with the new. B2E headlights, that is. Now the peepers match the black chrome wheels and grill.
