Yesterday I was able to take a drive and check out some brake noise in the HHR... Front rotors look like glass and I assume the rears are out of adjustment (causing the brake squeal) It's on the list to replace brakes and rotor/drums. I have forgotten how much leg room there is in this car!! I miss it so much!! plus I don't have to climb in like my Land Rover (which doesn't have much leg room)

Had a guy take a look at the roof on the house and there is quite a bit of hail damage from the 2 inch hail last month. Insurance is sending out their inspector to verify the damage (which is a good thing) New shower installation is delayed as they didn't plan things too well so they had to re-plan before I would let them start tearing things apart. 2 1/2 week delay.... Glad it isn't me doing the planning or work.

Yesterday I went to use the last car wash voucher my niece gave me for Christmas, while going thru the wash the pickup truck behind jumped the little wheels that pull the cars along and bumped into the rear bumper, chipping the paint and cracking the urethane, so I realized that the BlackSwan is 15 years old has 386,000 KLMs and didn’t call my insurance company, just drove it home, sanded and smoothed as best as possible and resprayed it. All fixed looks great from 15 ft!!
The car wash guys of course pointed out the not responsible for any damage signs!! The guy in the truck peeled out as soon as I pulled out of his way.

Damn, that sucks. But of course they'd pull the not responsible crap. At least you were able to fix it, from a distance.

Last night on the way home I clicked 266,666 miles!!!!

I clicked 255,555on September 1 2025and now 266,666 May 14 2026. So that's about 11k in 8 months is. That's stilla lot of miles but considering i do around 50-60 round trips nowadays, i can see it. Glad Amelia is still going. Good luck to the rest of you so you can hit 200+ or even 300+.

Eons ago I had a nearly new Grand Prix. as I exited a car wash? I thought the attendant was behaving strangely. I got home and realized a malfunction had put a huge gouge on my hood.

I went back and pointed out that the algae growing on the offending roller who is the exact same color as the green streak on my hood. Of course they denied that their equipment did the damage anyway. They just hope to wear you down.

Collecting evidence is much easier these days, with everyone carrying a phone capable of instantly making high resolution date stamped photos.

I’m over it! Insurance company would write it off, the car wash denies everything, the truck driver sped off before I could get the plate number or anything.
si today we had a relaxing day at home then drove out to go for a walk on Lake Eries north shore. It started to rain so back home we went!

Today we planted flowers at Sweetie’s parents grave, then off to walk the parkway in Black Creek and stopped at the Crystal Ball in Crystal Beach for a coffee ☕️
