It’s foggy and 35 F with a predicted high of 40 F . Very sloppy roads from the slush !
might just rinse the underside of the BlackSwan to get some of the brine and salt off.

We are fortunate down here in Northern Ohio; getting enough rain to wash that diabolical salt away. In a day or two, will run the salt sloshed cars through my favorite car wash, which features an aggressive underbody spray.

Hope the fiends at the service department show some restraint instead of sucking up overtime uselessly applying brine and salt before it's really needed.

Today a drive to the farmers market and a stop at the niece’s house. The BlackSwan ran strong and rode smoothly.

Bought a new stainless steel exhaust system off eBay for $190 delivered, and when I went to install it I found a glasspack boogered in where the resonator should be. I wouldn't mind except that they cut the flange off the end of the cat in the process. So, I dug out some 3/8" steel I had laying around and an ID/OD pipe and fabricated a new one. 3 hours of extra work. Once I had the new flange made, it only took a half hour to replace the exhaust. Nice and quiet now!

wired up the extra power port to run a phone charger and a bluetooth adapter. It doesn't shut off with the key, but I can live with that.

Today I replaced the lift gate struts then a drive to the farm, meet up with Tucker the new dog, he’s a 1 year old Boxer / lab mix , very cute and energetic! He’s a rescue from Kentucky.
later I’m off for doctors appointment, might stop for a coffee after that.

Today is one of the now rare trips to the city center on my Hippo. But there was a reason to be dressed up - folk festivals and numerous fairs. On the occasion of the New Year holidays. Third and last this year.

I was very pleased with the numerous snow removal machines on the streets. This winter the city is simply buried under snow and the municipal authorities cannot cope. But a couple of days ago they suddenly tensed up and attacked this snow with redoubled force, they literally strip it down to bare asphalt. The reason is a rumor that an important politician whose last name begins with the letter “P” is going to visit Ekaterinburg. And this guy doesn't like it when anything is out of order or not tidy.
