Today, we are going to plant flowers at cemetery, then chemo exercise class, then a drive in the country and a coffee.

Finally got my flex pipe fixed. Part was only $45…local shop ended up charging me $500 to install it! This was the first time I’ve had to take my HHR to a shop because I’m taking care of my mom and didn’t have the time and it’s the car she can easily get into so I had to get it done ASAP. The guy initially quoted $300 but said because the “flange” was also broken and it was close to the O2 bunge, it needed additional work (welding) so that was the cause for the additional cost. Honestly if he hadn’t already taken it apart I would have said no, but I had to bite my tongue and let him finish. I didn’t want to take it to this place but all the nearby muffler shops wouldn’t touch it. Oh, and he said my control arms needed to be done and he’d do it for $800. Obviously I said no thanks.

I replaced all my ball joints today, to include new sway bar links and outer tie-rod ends. I didn't expect how time consuming it would be for the ball joints. I was planning on removing them from the lower control arm while still on the car, but had to remove the LCA in order to drill almost through and then press out the ball joint rivets. I also made a promise to myself that I will grease all of these ball joints at least annually due to the shape they were in. I made sure that every joint has a zerk fitting.

Grease them every oil change!

Last night we filled up the fuel tank and while driving home some loud clunking sounds coming from the steering column. The intermediate steering shaft lower ujoint has failed. Yay!!!

Removed carpet from front seat mounts back. Cleaned every inch of floor.

Removed rear hatch rubber seal and cleaned car side and inside seal.

Had some mold on rear seat and rear foot area carpet. Will be able to detect any leaks better now.

Cleaned all debris from spare tire area.

Reattached both drain tubes next to battery. Will blow the lines out next time. Dont think we are getting rain for a while.

smells much better now.

Looking for rear storage seat thing now.

Will relocate and shorten 4awg copper wire next time like i did my 2010 LT.

Today a run to fill up the gas cans with 100% gas. That's all I use. My mowers love it & so does my HHR.
