Drove it to the Volunteer Fire Department last night for our monthly business meeting. I'm a support member, and was recently elected as Secretary. Taking meeting minutes is a big part of the job, but there's a lot of other stuff I help with.

Anyway, every time I park it in front of the building I think about how it would look with a department logo on the side, lol.

Towed the SS back into the area and unloaded it yesterday after timing chain, control arm and solenoid service. Noticed an oil spot on the deck of the trailer when unloading so I have to inspect and see what that is about. Still need shocks and struts, need to change coolant and repair the cooling fan harness to see if fans will work. And change from winter wheels/tires to summer setup.

I laid a 5qt bottle of 5-30W on it's side on the passenger seat to make room on the floor for a case of water.
The next morning I had an oil spot the size of a dinner plate on the seat.
Turns out Penzoil didn't screw the lid on as tight as they should have.
4 days of baking soda treatments to soak up the little oil I could.
Then Dawn and hot water with shop vac. Then lots of hot water and shop vac.
It worked pretty good. The seat looks new and the oil spot can barely be seen.

The tire is holding air, so we drove to Crystal Beach for a walk and a coffee!
Trying 32 psi in my 17” summer tires see how the comfort is.

I have fooled around with air pressure in my 17s and found 28 psi is plenty and much more comfortable without any issues like wear. My tire have sorta stiff sidewalls and 32 psi with my rather firm KYB dampers is a bit harsh. Depends on the tire in addition to the dampeners.
