Took Sweetie out for her birthday dinner last night, today a birthday barbecue at our friends house, tomorrow another dinner party out at the farm! It’s Sweetie’s birthday weekend party! She rides in style in the BlackSwan. I’m tuckered out driving and socializing with family and friends! She’s having a blast, also celebrating 10 years since her AML cancer issue and stem cell transplant. Woot woot! 🎂

Drug store end cap display was overflowing with cheap toy cars. Only one like this, describe as 1950 Suburban Carryall. At about $8 w/ tax, it didn't come home with me. Mistake?

Today, a wash and detail, cleaned the weather tech floor mats and scrubbed the tires and gave the aluminium rims a buff!
I’m not used to this ! Nap time! 💤

I have a similar one
in the "school bus" paint scheme/configuration.
Surprisingly, I bought this one for about 8 USD too.

By the way, a question for Americans: did such school buses really exist in real life? Or is this a Chinese fantasy?

Yes they were.
In rural areas with dirt/mud roads where the schoolhouse was 5+ miles away.
They were driven 50+ miles a day.

Are we saying there were HHR or 194x Suburban school buses? I don't doubt it, but there couldn't be many, at least in the U.S. Never heard of one.

I did spot an HHR taxi cab in Chicago ca. 2010. Always thought they would make perfect cabs if only the rear seat were pushed back 2-3 inches.

Today we cruised to several places for bread and meat and eggs, then along the Niagara River to Fort Erie, now just headed home!

Insane weekend so far, Friday I drove up to my class reunion, 50 years!! and saw a lot of old friends. The HHR handled the crazy construction detours, then Saturday Headed out to Ham Radio convention, then to the main class reunion. Had over 160 class mates show up and more road construction detours. Left home at 6:30 am and got back home at 1:00 am. One tired driver here, Tomorrow sounds like a sleep in day.
