I’m sure he’ll give it back to you in one piece!

Today is another cold day, too cold to wash the car! To cold to clean the interior, so I can take time to have a nap! 💤

FINALLY got to see my truck for about 1/2 hour, The kidd was sayin it smelled like gas when he parked. Found the nylon fuel line was melted and cracked. Last summer (?) the nylon line disconnected from the tank, and touched the muffler, which melted the nylon just a bit. apparently it was enough to allow it to break over time. We spliced a 3" piece in and routed it away from the exhaust a bit further so it should be good to go. Then I got to watch it drive away down the road. Man does it need a bath though. I never saw that much dirt across the back end before. Kids.... I get no respect...

I got up early today for the 45 minute drive in icy weather to go to cardiologist appointment for stress test and EKG test and heart ultrasound. I finally got my heartbeat up to 118, the nurse said good enough, see you next year! Then I drove back home, picked up Sweetie and took her to breakfast at a local restaurant. The HHR drove straight and smooth, handling a few icy patches with ease! We’re back home now! Time to nap before we head out to dinner tonight with friends in St. Catharines.

Today we are headed out to the farm to get eggs, then a drive a stop for a coffee!
just 26 days until spring! It’s Saturday morning so I will do my weekly routine of checking the oil, tire pressures and fill the washer fluid, check all lights! Best to be aware of any problems and fix them before they get to be bigger problems!

I’m heading out to Long Point on Lake Eries north shore, the swan migration is in full swing and possibly the Sandhills cranes will be in the area.
The BlackSwan is ready with a full tank of fuel, just want to check tire pressures and finish my coffee!!

We did get out for a walk and saw some Sand Cranes migrating north bound.

Then when we were leaving a restaurant I received a text from my neighbour across the street, her husband, Dan had a heart attack on Wednesday evening, he was taken to hospital in Hamilton, in the early hours of Thursday he had a stroke which damaged the left side of his brain and paralyzed his left side, and then in the early hours of Friday morning, he suffered another stroke paralyzing his right side and damaging his brain.
He had listed himself as an organ donor, so Doctors are evaluating his organs and will harvest them on Monday,
Dan has been pronounced brain dead and he will be released from life support Monday afternoon, doctors estimated about 5 minutes from there he will be gone!
Now you probably remember me getting help with tire change and servicing my HHR and Dan was the neighbour that helped me.
We’ve known him since I moved here in July 2004. He was tge first to walk over , introducing himself and his wife Linda.
It’s sure gonna be weird not having Dan around to show me what he had rigged up for me to mig weld for his bikes and stuff.
Farewell Dan ! He was just 57.

Not sure I will get my car back in one piece, He just informed me he got a speeding ticket being dumb.... 88 ina 60 MPH zone.... which is 28 over, probably around $400fine and he gave them his insurance card, so maybe I won't get an insurance increase (???)

I didn't even think it would go that fast, at least I never had it up that high.
