Checked the oil in the 2011 LS, lowish brake fluid got me thinking it's about time to think about pads. Checking on parts led to discovering a potential big deal part supply chain problem. It seems First Brands Group, which owns a whole bunch of parts brands we know and maybe even trust, is embroiled in a fraud scandal, is in bankruptcy, and laying people off big time. Yikes? Should I stock up on parts? Which ones?

Today temperatures in the high 40’s , took Sweetie to appointments for X-rays and an ultrasound, then took her to lunch and on the way home stopped to clean her parents gravesite, then a walk and then home!
before I went in the house I removed and reinstalled my traffic light viewer. Cleaned the inside of all the windows.

This afternoon is Dan’s funeral, cloudy and rainy weather, so no car washing! I’m not looking forward to this. But I will show his family the respect for him. Sad. Only 58.

Got to be 10 to 12 year’s ago.
I had a guide viewer in my 2007 LS but Sweetie didn’t like that, it distracted her while driving.

Today is market day , then it’s time to start a new project, our farmer friend just bought herself a 2024 Toyota Prius, and she has decided to let me have her old car to clean up , safety inspect and sell, she gets black book price, less parts, I get retail price to cover my time and effort. Around here it’s worth around $6,500 CDN black book is only about $1,700. So, it’s up to me to make it presentable and make some money. Or scrap it out if I find anything major wrong with it.
I’ll see on Monday afternoon after a test drive.
the dealership offered her $1,000 for it. I’m sure they low balled her cause they didn’t want it!

Got a call today that my car won't start... the one I have not seen since Thanksgiving... I guess I will be giving the Kidd my Land Rover tomorrow, and then Monday journey up to his place and replace the starter (??) He took it on a errand today and it wouldn't start after he got there, ended up towing it to his place ($310) and they told him the starter was shot. I canget one Monday out of a Saturn, which is supposed to fit.. We shall see.....

Drive to Smithville for a meet up with the_shmoo for a coffee and visit. Thanks again for the coffee! My turn next month! We checked our plans for spring tire changes and preparation for the warmer weather cruising!
