Darn oil filler neck

As I'm driving my flatmate to work this morning I notice some smoking from what looks like under my hood. It's not a lot just a puff here or there. I noticed the same thing the other day but brushed it off as the car in front of me. We'll something told me to pull in to my local Advance and check it. Popped the hood and all be darned if the filler neck had not come off while I was working on putting my new intake hose on the other day. So not only was I about 2 qts low, I have a mess to clean up. I was planning on doing an oil change in the next few weeks anyhow, but I guess I'm doing on this weekend!!! Other than that, Amelia is running great.
congrats to Oldblue on 40k. Hope to reach that eventually!!

This morning it’s frosty and cold but I checked my tire pressure and oil level, and we headed out for our Sunday cruise in the country and maybe stop for a coffee and a danish!

Oil change day

Wasn't quite ready for one but got to 58% and had to add two quarts the other day due to the filler neck coming off after it came off while installing next air vent hose. Then this afternoon I plan on the temperature sensor, thermostat and a flush and fill. Busy day with a dr appointment right in the middle.

Out for a cruise with the Kid, checking out the 100 mile garage sale, I found a Concept Seating chair, rated as a 24/7 use, with a pump up lumbar support. Found them new selling for $2184, I picked up a nice one for $20...it sits a bit low for my liking so I am going to add an oversized cylinder to raise it up a bit higher (long legs) My old chair only lasted about 3-4 years and it is rated as a 500 lb capacity, just made cheaply. The Concept Seating has a full steel frame and no use of that darn particle board that doesn't last.
With the youngest kid moving back home (groan) I get to at least see my HHR daily.

Today a drive in the countryside, we stopped for a walk, then had a nice lunch. The HHR rode smoothly and quietly!
