Back to on topic, had a dream I was driving Paddy on US 129(The Dragon) today, does that count as "doing something" to your HHR?
Yes that should count imo.. at least mentally..

Could you tell me what your refering to as orange peel ?? I have some polished stainless that has some funny little snowflake like patterns in it when the sun hits it just right that Im trying to get out.

You're probably thinking of the same thing Matt. If you look at the first pic, the plating looks grainy in the pic. that's the "orange peel"...pretty common name for describing imperfection in paint as well.

I sand blasted everything, then powder coated the base to prevent any possible rust issues from developing.

The Lid I shot with VHT* wrinkle plus paint, since it is aluminum, I was concerned about it warping in the heat, baking powder coat..
Like the look of that Sleeper

Makes you wonder do the people at GM ever drive cars, other than Bob Lutz.

SmootHHR covered it well, also it reminds me of a heavy womens celluite on back of her legs..(no offense meant to anyone)....

SHADOW- To get that off yer stainless, you can block-sand it with wet-n-dry sandpaper till it's gone & then polish back up.. I use water & a drop of dishsoap..

SmootHHR-
Thanks for the compliment...

Running errands today testing the new rear sway bar. Night and day difference, they should have came stock on these vehicles. I couldn't have made these great mods without the super folks on this forum. Thanks

Actually drove Paddy today, headed over to see my doctor who administered a Steroid injection into my back, hurt like hell to put it mildly. But the improvement was almost immediate and to celebrate my new found ability to stand upright, I took a nice cruise through the country just to enjoy driving after five days flat on my back.

I'm still sore and tired from no real sleep for several days, but just being able to squeeze the loud pedal and enjoy that snarl from under the hood has put a grin back on my face.

My apologies to everyone if I've been grumpy and short tempered since the weekend, I don't do "hurt" well.

Had to put a new battery in the SS the other day. Went to leave for work and she wouldnt start, took the battery in after work and it had a dead cell in it. So, $120 later and a few minutes hooking it back up, I am good to go. Just hard to believe a 3 year old battery would just up and take a crap.

Blame it on the elevated temperatures this Summer, if the battery was close to failing, the hot weather just finished it off. You can tell when you've hit the century mark here in Carolina by the cars stacked up outside the battery shops, even though our batteries are away from under hood heat....it can still be hot enough in the passenger compartment to do them in.
