Sold my Ebony Cloth Seats this morning.

Buyer sent his son to drive the 2 hours in after seeing them on craigslist.
Told him about the HHR Forums, he has a Black windowed LS, plans are to two tone it and a few other things.

The son liked my Panel alot and was gonna tell his dad about it and what he liked. A young man in his early to mid 20's, liked my tail lights alot.
Showed him my little Supercharger polishing project too.

Liked the look of it lowered, the headrest monitors, and a few others as well, I think he will be telling his Dad (the owner of their HHR) what mods can be done.

So maybe we will see a new member ready to do a bunch of cool things to his HHR.

I'd like to see the Two Tone with a third accent stripe the son was describing to me, should look pretty wicked.

Dusted off Morticia this morning while waiting for the seat buyer to arrive.

The new K&N didn't throw any CEL but I'm feeling some strangeness in the way the car responds to it. It sounds great, though. I flashed the car back to an older less aggressive tune. I need to do some logging with the new filter and rebuild to a new tune.

I've been in upstate NY for the past week. I had forgotten just how bad the roads get with the freeze thaw cycle. Lots of pot holes and rough patches on all the roads/streets. After years of driving in the Florida flat land, the car does do a lot of down shifting and up shifting while on the hilly roads. Gas in the area is like $4.049 to $4.179/gallon. I did see one station in Va that had it for $4.399/gal. No cheap gas in NY.

Did you really use GLASS POLISH or was that a slip of the finger/mind/whatever?

Hey SS Fan - How well does the Dr. color chip work? Have you done any scratches with it? I have a few rash chips on my HHR I would like to fix.

I have Imperial Blue

, Yes I did say glass polish, and I used the Mothers refurbish juice too to keep them clear.

I can't tell you how sweet Dr. Colorchip works, damn near a miracle in a box. I highly recommend it, I am sure I have filled 300 chips by now and it looks good ? Huh ? Does it look like it has 60K on it ?

Had a flat tire fixed on the Paddy-Wagon, I ran over to Lowe's to pick up some "Condo Remodeling Goodies", and as I walked around the critter after loading up the stuff...I stopped dead in my tracks. Oh bleep! You gotta be kidding me, right? Stuck smack in the middle of the right front tread, a roofing nail, just at pretty as can be.

So a big thank you to Discount Tire in Concord for getting me in, patching the tire and re-balancing the wheel, then getting me out the door in twenty minutes.

A quick re-application of Griot's tire shine goop, and the nail is just an unpleasant memory, man I sure hope this isn't a repeat of last year's "Summer of the Nails".
