Yeah chef, an impact gun is needed to undo the center nut, with a hand wrench all you do is spin the rod, piston, and assorted guts in the strut....very frustrating.

Decals look spiffy there kb0sdq!

We've all been there Oldblue, as President Clinton used to say..."I feel your pain".

They all stayed parked today, the antibiotics are slowly winning the battle against the Bronchitis, but a walk from the office to the living room(60 feet)leaves me needing a "good sit down" for a bit.

Being sick sucks, not driving sucks, not driving my HHR's sucks even more, I want my Mommy!

I used a pair of vise grips, and a 1/2" breaker bar to do my springs when I lowered my SS. I have an impact but its not a very good one, and wouldnt break the nuts loose so I just Improvised and used man power, lol. I clamped the vise grips as tight as I could towards the top of the rod on the strut and layed the strut down on my blacktop driveway and gave the breaker bar the ole heave ho and broke them loose.

Waiting patiently to pick up my SS from my Chevy Dealer.I more impressed with my new dealer each time I go in.
Driving a 12 malibu lt with the ecotec 2.4l nice ride but its not an HHR
Having the steering column replaced and having the vacuum pump added for the brake issue on the Autos.
One day without my HHR and I miss it already.
