I saw a similar grill on Ebay. It seems, RickyVB painted it.
Good mesh exist in the design of air filters for some big trucks. I know guys, they dismantled the old filters, and then do the top and bottom (in bumper) grills from the liberated mesh. If you work carefully, it turns a beautiful product.

Nothing too exciting today, just drove the Paddy-Wagon to my office and back with a side trip to look at some buildings in North Kannapolis with an eye towards a revitalization plan.

Got a quick cell phone grab shot of Paddy parked in front of a long dead furniture store across from the wasteland that was once part of the Cannon Mills. Hopefully things will work out to bring life back to a once vital part of the city.

Oil change yesterday, Pennzoil Platinum again.... Went by the DIC and got a full year out of this last one, it was still above 25% oil life. Didn't calculate the mileage yet but it's around 10,000 on that last oil.

Order is placed from US Composites.

1.5 OZ. Chopped Strand Mat, 38" wide X 10 Yards (30 feet long)
2 Gallons 435 Standard Poly Resin (They no longer carry the popular with audio guys
B-440 Premium Polyester Layup Resin)
1 Quart Styrene (Resin Thinner)
4 OZ. MEKP Hardener (Extra besides the included hardener with each gallon)
2 OZ. Surfacing Wax (added to last resin layers to aide in Sanding)
3/8" X 3" Fiberglass Detail Roller

Bought some other materials tools and supplies locally the other day and should recieve the online orders late next week to get started on my next project.

Sure will be Nice NOT having a big subwoofer box taking up room in the back.

Then I can finish it off with a nicely detailed Amp Rack that hides under the floor during Daily Driving, but can Show it nicely with the floor either out or in the upper position at a car show or cruise nite.

AND, still KEEP my Spare Tire.

Andy2.0 had these Custom made at a Audio Shop, they were pretty costly, out of my Budget for sure, so I decided to make a Pair on my own here.

Don't forget a decent respirator and gloves for your shopping list A&P, working with glass is a stinky and gloppy deal,

^+1!

Woke up this morning and decided that I had to have my wagon lower...going to talk to a guy this afternoon about installing bags over the weekend. (J/K...)

But really, I am wanting to put a little muffler on but can't decide what I want to get. Gonna go shopping this afternoon to a few local shops to get some ideas. I'll probably wait until after our Florida trip to get something installed so I don't have to hear the wife complain about the extra noise on the highway.

Mine have all been parked today, decided to work from home and skip the Friday morning traffic jams heading into Charlotte.

Tonight I will be "stealing" my wife's Fiat to head to a council meeting, what can I say, the weather is gorgeous here and its a convertible.

Check out Borla Exhausts chef, they made the GMPP exhaust for the HHR that was available through GM dealers, it sounds fantastic and looks great.
