On my way home from work I played with a Nissan maxima and a impala ss (the newer one with the 5.3)

I'm pretty sure they were both surprised when I lost them both at the same time lol

I saw a newer Impala SS parked at my work. I wondered how it measured up. I remember noticing that all the SS logos seemed the same size and design, the back one is the same as the ones on the sides.

I think they have 300hp but it's a horribly detuned 300hp with crappy heads and a crappy intake. Not to mention fwd

The current production Impala with the VVT 3.6 V-6 has more power and a lower 0-60 time than the departed SS with the 5.3 V-8, that six banger out of the Camaro is quite stout in whatever they slot it into.

The 5.3 is a pretty stout engine too, just not in the impala lol

I had a 99 silverado that was rated at 270 stock and I added an 02+ pcm with a tune, a big cam, longtube headers and an intake and I put down 335 at the rear wheels

Ummmm....I got another one.

Meet Bob, or more properly Bob 2, since there already is an HHR named "Bob" here already. Yeah its a panel, a 2007 LS with 151,000 miles on the clock and a few cosmetic issues like a fist sized dent in the left rear quarter panel, and stone blasted rear fenders. But mechanically everything checked out, and it runs like a champ, even the brakes are new...with the rears properly adjusted up + a set of "Mystery Wonder Radials" installed by the dealer (Hercules H/P...never heard of 'em either).

Why another HHR you ask, well I found this little guy last week almost by accident, and I got him cheap.....$5,100 out the door with tax and tags. And its a one owner, with a steel "headache rack" already installed.

We'd talked about finding a cheap panel for use in hauling remodeling materials, and acting as a "pack mule" when we relocate my folks later this year. Its a base LS, only option is the automatic transmission, and its a very late build....body colored door handles on an '07, who'd a thunk it?

For the moment, Bob 2 will stay painfully stock and earn his keep by hauling stuff. Next year, who knows, might go bonkers.

They made almost 500,000 HHR's, I can have mine and that leaves like 499,996 for everyone else, right?

They aren't all for sale at once. If only I could have sold my old 2LT to such a good shelter as you have going. Maybe you can swap some parts between 'em and make some HHR 'harlequins'.
