What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Had the HHR detailed today. It is now a shiny silver bullet! Had a local shop do what the dealer should have when we bought it 2 weeks ago. Thinking about takin' it to our local car club car show tomorrow, even though it is completely a stock 1LT. Does have a lot of the toys for it: luggage rack, running boards, moon-roof, etc.
Ahhhhhh! I've spent all week cleaning everything on this car for the show tomorrow. And guess what. I drive through a sprinkler this morning. It was dark I couldn't see it. The water spots will not come off the the hood. I've used cleaner, wax, etc. I'm so frustrated.
Polishing compound will fix that spot problem, use it sparingly. It's 11:00 some where, here is the before and after, it really reminds me of the SS driving it, just a little smoother, due to the FE-3 shocks.
Nice Sam!
Decided to paint my calipers and repaint my drums and while I was at it I figured I'd try to find the culprit to my front end suspension noise. The first thing I checked was the bolts that hold the struts on...low and behold I could turn them with my fingers...
I torqued them both up to 100 pounds so I hope that will keep them snug. I'm guessing since that was the last side we did when we installed the springs and I burried my knuckle into the rotor...I must not had some back to finish tightening them. That should take care of the creaking noise I hope.
