I have a bad rattle or clanking sound from the back end , mostly at slow speeds over bumps. I searched several old threads about gold line springs making noise. My springs are stock. I did notice the rear valance was loose especially at the two rear brackets.

I took Sleepers advice from a thread and took the plastic pins out and put sylicone on them and reinstalled. I couldn't find anything else loose ,spare tire and jack are tight.

Ever since I put the Goodyear Assurance All season tires on it ,It's rode alot rougher are and definately Noisier! I would never put another set of those on it. But I have too much money in them to change now. I'll test it tomorrow, wish me luck!...john

Well, after hitting 122,000+ miles, I figured I would treat mine to a new set of spark plugs and some rear shocks. (Struts were changes a couple months ago when I lowered it)

Rides a good bit better (less rebound over those big dips in the road).

Original plugs still looked good, but I figured they might just need to be retired!?!?

Next year, I am thinking about a fresh set of brakes (still running the factory issued ones)

Just purchased an 07 LT silver.

Well 1st off Hello Everybody.!.!.!.
I just purchased an 07 LT silver 4 door all glass loaded but all stock ... For now ..
Girlfriend told me I can do whatever I want to the new car (new to us) with the exception of Lambo doors or ANY wood lol!!!
Not that I would have the $ to do anything extreme like Lambo doors or full on body kits.
I found this community while looking for the most cost effective bolt ons and accessories. We want to customize our new HHR to the point we can enter it into car shows .. Not expect to win anything .. but just to be able to Bring in a nice lightly modified car to the show.
I really want to lower it then replace the grill and add the lower insert. The only thing I have added is a decal family to the rear glass. Most people have stick figures that rep the members of the family. My kids got me a Star Wars family kit for my birthday!
In conclusion I will post some pics soon of what it currently looks like and would appreciate any advise on cost effective parts and any deals around!
Happy motoring!!!

Welcome & Congrats Victor n' Linz-

You could always remove the body emblems (shave 'em) for a clean look, & no cost..

I use fishing line, & work it back & forth behind a emblem, comes off easy.. Then a little glue residue to clean off & wax..
