These are the Lloyd Mat floor mats I purchased $86 for the mats, $33 for the GM logo "SS". Took about 8 days to get, free shipping & no tax through JC Whitney. They were item number LLOUM041.

Yes indeed, just feels a bit softer on your feet. I was concerned when I compared to the original which was cut differently and did not go under the gas pedal. But I checked before putting the new mats in by pushing on the OEM carpet that is under the pedal and it actually is floating in that area and sinks back down against the floor steel when you push. I took it out to test today, still goes, no change. I figured if there was a change, I could fix it simply by trimming the mat under the gas pedal and sealing the edge in the cut area, but it was not necessary. The Lloyd mats are cut to fit in exactly, very nice. I wasn't worried to much about the brake pedal as much as the gas !!

No Just the SS Stripes on the hood - Did I confuse ya? There are 3 different stripe types i've seen on the HHR.

1. Straight stripes that go from the bottom of the front bumper over the bumper over the hood - over the roof and down the back hatch and down the back bumper.

2. Just the Hood SS Stripes (Dual Stripes on hood outlined with a 1/4 pinstripe on the out side of them (These are the ones I want)

3. The angled dual sripes on the front fenders (I hate the looks of these kind)

My turn for the dreaded stuck ignition key.
I was only a mile from home in a mall parking lot.
Called wifey to search forum to see how others have shut the car off.
Pulled fuse number 45. Dug in the dungeon to disconnect battery while I was in the mall.
Big thanks to my father who taught me to always have a set of tools in any car you drive.

Tomorrow I get to visit the dealer and get it sorted out.

Because this is a known issue should I expect to pay anything out of pocket?
Mine is an 09 with 115,000 km

I always carry some tools as well. My 09 did it at 40 thousand.

And no you shouldnt pay anything. A recall was issued so it should be fixed for free for ya. Dont let the dealer takemyoumfor any money! Good luck.
