What kind of car did you give up for your HHR?

2003 Nissan X-Terra. Nice truck, horrible mileage. I lost 4wd all terrain ruggedness, lot's of cargo room, and hunky good looks. I gained more cash in my wallet after visiting the pump... as well as a stylish, fun, well built car with a lot of really neat features. (And still enough cargo space for my kid and his stuff!)

I traded in my 2003 Hyundai Accent GSI, I loved that car, I just needed something bigger, plus I work for GM so I got the HHR for dealer price.

A white 2002 Miata LS with hardtop, borla exhaust, K&N FPK. I miss the performance of it , but couldn't haul my keyboards very easy in it

At the time I purchased my HHR, I had a 1986 Toyota 4X4 truck which needed major repair work and a 1984 Honda Prelude. After I bought the HHR, I sold the truck that had engine problems, clutch problems, body cancer...you name it. I still have the Honda Prelude and my boyfriend uses it as his daily driver (his car is a 74 Olds Cutlass with 350 Rocket V-8 that has been tricked up)

This one runs pretty good yet, even with almost 180,000 miles on it. My boyfriend loves how much he saves on gas over the 74 Olds. It's a 5 spd like my HHR and that thing can really go even in some pretty decent snow. Will keep it until it bites the big one, which could be another 180,000 miles.

I had a 2002 Tracker that I hated from the day I bought it. I needed something to accommodate my pregnant belly - I could no longer fit behind the wheel of my 2000 Camero (which I STILL miss) and I knew that a carseat wouldn't fit in it. Thanks to my long-legged daughters, I had no choice but to get rid of the Tracker. My husband is thrilled that his truck is no longer our family "car"!
