What kind of car did you give up for your HHR?
Great Thread CH...
I actually had 99 Chrysler Sebring Limited. It was fully loaded..got about 25MPG too. But, since my 3rd child, had to consider a vehicle that will fit the 5 of us. When I saw the HHR's early last year, I new I had to have it. When I ask for a trade-in value, they only offered my $3K..so I sold it myself for Blue Book ($7K). That same week I sold the Sebring, I went and got my new wheels...I will miss the convertible in this California weather, but my sunroof will do.
Well, now I am a complete Chevy family, with my "Drive it once a month" Blazer, and the other family bus, the Astro.

I had a 97 Grand Caravan, complete with factory gold rims
. I can't say I traded it in though...I was at the NCO Academy in Biloxi when Katrina hit. All the windows were blown out and the parking lot it was in was under 4 feet of water. Needless to say it was totaled
. I needed a vehicle pronto, but being the first new car I ever got for myself, I sucked it up and ordered what I wanted. The wait was worth it.

I drove a 94 voyager 3.0.It was my transition car after not driving for almost 4 years. The car before that though was a loaded 95 Monte Carlo Z34.It was red with grey leather, dual exhaust and some rims.lol.I can't remember what size.Anyway I bought it used in 2001 with 68,000 miles and drove it for about 5 weeks until I got drunk and smashed it into a tree at an estimated 85 mph.Apparently I never even hit the brakes and I didn't have my seat belt on.The firefighters said they were suprised I wasn't thrown out of the car.It was nasty but hey I made the news the next day.I loved that car but didn't love the $20 a day in gas I was using delivering Pizzas.Hondas make really good delivery cars.
86 buick Le Sabre
91 GMC 1500
both had 3.4 V6's.
Buick was a money pit my Dad bought and paid too much for. it was mint but a mechanical nightmare
did not want to give up the 91 GMC- great truck, great mileage and only reason i gave it up was because no one would drive a stick on the floor.

I have now parked my93 Dodge Dakota CC. I bought it about a year ago from the local water company for 1500. It still only has 79000 miles but it gets 14 mpg and I love to cruise too much for that.
Silver 1993 2.3 Ford Ranger 125000 miles. I loved my Truck It was the fist "nice" thing I ever drove, but it was starting show it's age. I also just needed more room for my kids, and something w/ good gas mileage. I miss my truck But I love my HHR
