What kind of car did you give up for your HHR?

Totaled my 06 Trailblazer SS. Bought a 94 Firebird for $700 the next day, and bought the wreck back. Then traded the Firebird in on the HHR. Dealer gave me 1600.00 so I was stoked. Enjoying every minute of it so far!

2005 Pontiac Vibe at the end of a lease.

The HHR gave me more room & better gas mileage.

2006 Chevy Avalanche Z71

HHR fit my needs perfectly. Some performance, plenty of room in the back for detailing supplies, construction supplies, my 2 dogs, etc. Plus WAY better gas mileage.

We shuffled things around. Wife got the HHR, I got her Mazda Millenia, Chevy Suburban mostly parked (only get used when we need the hauling or passenger capacity).

I traded a beautiful 2003 Retro T-bird Pearl Desert Sky Blue with a white hardtop even for my 08 2LT Black Panel with Black leather int.with 13000 miles
You think that HHR parts are going to be hard to find? Ford completley forgot about the retro T-birds! One gentleman had to wait 6 weeks for a ECM to be made ,None in the whole country and a Lady was told by Ford that it would be Nov. before she could get a power steering hose...Nice cars Pretty well engineered. Most uncomfortible seats we have ever ridden in...
The night before I was going to Cinncinati to trade I was reading this forum and more than several owners said the HHR seats were bad too. I was going to chicken out but my wife said I might as well go look at the HHR because I was wanting a panel since they started making them.. I was so glad I went. After a ten minite drive I did'nt want to get back in the bird . I was sold...
I have not missed the bird, but miss the people on the Thunderbirdnest forum. I'm starting to fit in here [I think] Iv'e learned chevy did not make a '10 SS panel... And learned alot about the back seat install in a panel. Thanks again for the kind welcome...John

Coulda sworn I had posted in this thread, but I guess not...

I gave up a '93 GMC 3500 Cargo Van, with its whopping 10mpg, for my nifty Panel. I won.
