Because the metal ford used is soft and low-grade. The seats wear out and expand/break which results in them falling into the cylinder. Happens to 80-90% of the SPI's after 100k miles. ford garbage!

I traded a 2003 Pontiac vibe. I miss my vibes tossability and better mileage. It was a great car. It was a 5 sp 1zz, afe short ram intake, throttle body spacer, pulstar plugs, vibrant hi flow cat and resonator, under drive pulleys, magnaflow muffler. Ebc slotted and cross drilled rotors and green stuff pads, trd strut tower brace, motegi sp10s wrapped in 215/45/17 general exclaim uhp summer tires and Michelin alpin pa3 winter tires on the factory 16s.
I've started the mods to my 11 hhr, ss springs on the way, k&n drop in, modified intake tube, pulstar plugs, royal purple full synthetic, black out emblems, corner markers and reflectors, much more to come

1973 Volkswagen Thing. Living in SoCal, and driving to/from work in the Thing was fun. After 6 years, I was ready for a vehicle with A/C again.
Did a lot of research, and it seems there are more happy SS owners, than there are previous SS owners. When I test drove the it, I couldn't believe how comfortable and responsive it is. Bought my '08 on a Saturday, sold my VW on the following Tuesday.

Red 2005 Pontiac GTO. 6 Speed, GMPP short-shifter, American Racing long tube headers, SLP Loudmouth II cat-back exhaust, Vararam ram air intake, custom tuned by East Texas Muscle Cars.

I loved that car, but my job got relocated from 25 miles from my house to 45 miles from my house and I didn't want to pay that kind of a fuel bill.

Some guy bought it from me for his 17 year old son.

Sold my 2005 Corvette to buy my 2009 HHR.Can't tell you how many times I heard "you sold your Corvette for an HHR?"!The Corvette was giving me problems and I needed something new, reliable, and that did not cost that much.

I traded in my 2001 S10 extended cab, short bed, v6 automatic, 101,500 miles. It was starting to rust out, so I decided to get rid of it. I was the only owner from new.
