Not really an option but when is GM going to offer a competitive powertrain warranty? 3 Yrs/ 36000 miles is pretty lame compared to 5/60 and 7/100 some of the others offer.

Oh, they offer this, but you have to pay extra for it. Haha, I knew what you meant though

Yeah, it's pretty bad when Suzuki, Hyundai, and Kia can sell you a car at half the price of an HHR yet offer 3 times the warranty with no additional cost.

You'll need a 7 year warranty with them, thats why they are half the cost. My buddy Luis bought a Kia for his wife and within their first couple years of owning it it had like 8 or 9 warranty repairs and the transmission blew. When transmission went he got rid of it even though it was still under warranty and bought his wife a Malibu. You get what you pay for. I would rather pay more a car and not have to use the warranty than pay less for a car and constantly have to use the warranty.

I would like to see improved side mirrors - with the built in turn signals and courtesy lights.

Yeah, but the scary thing for me is my wife's '03 astro van cost quite a bit more that a Kia, yet it has been in for numerous warranty repairs. The van only has 1500 warranty miles left and I am getting nervous.

I guess it also depends on the dealer and the lender as well. I got upgraded for no additional charge with the 5yr/75,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

Some great ideas for the extras. I would like to see the HHR come with a FULL SIZE spare tire instead of a tiny donut.

Wow, that's great! What company was the warranty with?
