I used a rope Chrome from Pep Boys. It comes in 20 ft lengths. It is very flexable and easy to apply. I also used it in the groove of the back bumper to keep from scratching the bumper. It is an exact fit for the groove. The other place I used it was on the side of my running boards and on the curved area of the dash, inside.

I can agree with most of these but your probably never going to see remote start for a manual tranny car. It's considered a safety issue. There's no guarantee that ALL drivers will park their car in neutral with the parking brake set, this is the same reason cars now have a clutch pedal operated starter lock out switch. These are designed to prevent the car from starting while in gear with the clutch engaged. If this were allowed to happen the car would start up and take off as they did back before the clutch safety start lock out switches were installed. Been there……done that!!

Ive seen it done on a few ricers around here with aftermarket alarm systems, i guess it could be done to some extent. Now that you mention it i guess there isnt a way for the cars computer to know it isnt in gear. Unless there is some kind of sensor that im not aware of for the tranny. Oh well, it would be a nice feature

Yeah, I've seen many cars modified with the remote start. But these are all done by the owners. The Auto manufactures won't do it because of liability.

But for those who would be sure to alway's put the tranny in neutral it would be a nice option, especially where it's cold.
