It's been entertaining and informative. I was prompted to poke around here (Thanks Deb for the link).
http://www.gm-auto-parts.com/parts.htm
I haven't seen either of these parts there though.

Hey Sindy...didn't you win a parts list thing off eBay a while back? Very well could be in there I would think.

BTW...you're welcome for the link.

If it was for HHR list, I dident win it. If it was for the Ford Pinto, I never recieved it from the seller and was refunded my money.

I think someone got sidetracked, and thought this thread was about the hole with a plug in it.
Even a long SCIENTIFICAL explaination can`t disguise that.
Even after the post confirming that it was a drain...
But it was entertaining/informative

They have a rubber flap over them that lifts easily. Of course I never thought to look into them when I had the wheels off

I thought that the one on the passenger side might be for the air intake, but there is also one on the drivers side.

Guess we''ll never know what these things are for until somebody has one break off! Maybe there's a tsb for "Strange thing in wheel well"

Ok so Sindy's HHR uses the holes that have the plugs for the breakes, now what is behind the flap and could someone pleeeeease post a pic of the flap?

Side note: There were no rental HHRs in Salt Lake City, ssssooooooooo I cannot have a "Find my HHR" Contest this week.

Next trip June 10th - I will disclose my undisclosed location from Honolulu, HI when I find my undisclosed location for the next "Find my HHR Contest".

I'm guessing that the flap is on the front of that square thing hanging down in the picture taken of the wheel well. Never checked it out myself, so I can't say for sure.
