Whats it Worth? 2008 2.4

I found a Black HHR Panel at a Dealer with 19,078 miles on it.

Carfax is clean but it was a "corporate vehicle" ? And was owned 1yr 2 mo.

It has the second set of steering wheel buttons for the radio a Mod I have read here that many add afterwards.

2008 CHEVROLET HHR PANEL LT
VIN: 3*C*A*5***S*****9
PANEL
2.4L L4 SFI DOHC
FRONT WHEEL DRIVE

standard equiptment:
Power Windows
Power Steering
Air Conditioning
AM/FM CD/MP3
Power Brakes
Tilt Wheel
6 Dig Odometer

Safety Options:
4Wheel ABS
Running Lights
Dual Front Air Bags/Active (manual) Belts

Dealer Lists "Features" As-
•Front Wheel Drive
•Power Steering
•Front Disc/Rear Drum Brakes
•Wheel Covers
•Steel Wheels
•Tires - Front Performance
•Tires - Rear Performance
•Daytime Running Lights
•Privacy Glass
•Power Driver Mirror
•Power Passenger Mirror
•Intermittent Wipers
•Variable Speed Intermittent Wipers
•AM/FM Stereo
•CD Player
•MP3 Player
•Auxiliary Audio Input

•Power Driver Seat
•Driver Lumbar
•Cloth Seats
•Front Floor Mats
•Cruise Control
•Adjustable Steering Wheel
•Tire Pressure Monitoring System
•Power Windows
•Power Door Locks
•Keyless Entry
•Vehicle Anti-Theft System
•A/C
•Rear Defrost

•Electrochromic rearview mirror
•Remote Trunk Release

•Passenger Air Bag

It Does have the Running Boards that I like.

Dealer is advertising it at $13,495.00 ???????????

I'd be trading in a 2000 Chevey Astro with 97,000 miles in OK shape.

I would add say 2000.00 cash down and only finance it for 2 years.

It's been sitting advertised for awhile now too.

I'm the type that makes OUT THE DOOR offers and WILL Walk Away if they start their games.

What do you Bargain hunters think it could be bought for ???

Thanks

Go look at KBB and punch in your local info and the details on the HHR. You'll get a starting point.

KBB says a grand more.

I see another Black 2008 with 22,000 miles and the sunroof 4 door LT for the same 13,500 asking price at another dealer.

I do Want a Panel, BUT, I wonder if instead of finding and buying a rear seat and belts and Praying they sent you the Right color match would it be better to buy a 4 door then find the rear Panel Doors in Black and swap them instead?

I NEED a rear seat but DO WANT the Panel.

Basically wondering how LOW of an offer to make. And looking for others that recently bought used and how much they got it lower than the dealers Asking Price?

I got an '07 black 2LT (not a panel) with the same mileage for 11K out the door back in March..... Used car lot was asking $11,999. one year newer and a panel adds value, so it's hard to say. If it's been there awhile tell them 12k out the door, you may have a new ride.

Looks really nice by the way......

I always try to purchase at KBB trade in value or less, whenever possible. You can bet that the dealer paid less than that amount, so they still make something. The last thing they want to do is wholesale it or put it through an auction again.

That having been said, I also always try to buy from a private party, original owner too, whenever possible.

Thanks guys, Now it's time to talk the ol lady into it. lol She has Friday off of work maybe I can talk her into going and having a LOOK at it. You know, Lets Just Look.

Can anyone tell me what Radio System this one has by the info given? SubWoofer?

A Panel is worth More???? I would think it would be Less as there is no back seat or rear air bags?

I would think that the Panel keeps Alot of Families from buying one just because there is No rear seat even offered. Guys like us look past that limitation Knowing we can Add one from the junk yard.

And Most delivery type business vans are sold White, so that maybe to My advantage.

I can Add a seat, but Can't add the air bags a 4 door would already have in place.

Whats the Difference in the Packages ? Is there a easy compare breakdown someplace?

I see SS (Obvious Super Sport) LT, LS LT1 LT2 LS1 LS2?????

I see guys here with the 1 or 2 by the LS or LT.

I will Add the 1955 Tail Lights to whatever HHR I end up getting.

KBB Trade in is just over $10,000.00

Thanks

Panels are worth more because they're not as plentiful, and the people who want them REALLY want them, especially now that HHR production is winding up.

I've heard 2011 is the last model year for the HHR..... short run but a great car. The panel is worth more because of what HHRemi said..... there's fewer around and those that want them will pay a little extra. A panel with the LT package and a 2.4L even more so.

If the back seat issue will be a problem for you, stick with black.... the dark tinted back windows on the black HHR do almost look like a panel, at least to me.....

By the pics, that looks to have the sub.

They did not remove side air bags for the panel from what I hear.

You have the base LS, then the 1LT, 2LT, & SS. The LS & 1LT come standard with the 2.2 and 16" wheels, the 2.4 is an option on the 1LT. The 2LT comes standard with the 2.4 and 17" wheels. The SS has the turbo 2.0 and 18" wheels. Most options that come on the 2LT can be had on the LS and the 1LT. SS has features only available on the SS.

The panel is more unique so the value is up to the buyer.

Good luck.
