well after much consideration I've decieded that Fresh Squeezed is more of discriptions than name (its orange) so since my husbands nickname for me is "Pete" and my dog looks like the "Luck Dragon" from never endind story then my car must be a dragon too, so Pete's Dragon is Elliott!

Drove mine off the lot and named it immediately -- Little Monster.

Lately I've been calling mine Herbie (after the Love Bug).

A friend of mine from work swears he saw my hhr at a local gas station early in the morning a couple of days ago. The thing is - I was home in bed and I thought my hhr was locked up in my garage.

He is sure it was mine - it even had a "hot wheels" sticker in the back window.

Obviously - Herbie is driving around without me trying to pick up Malibu's at the local Handmart!

Smoke Wagon

...why?...ok...you asked-

I spent HOURS trying to find a name for my HHR. it was a TOP PRIORITY...I had named my last car I was(and still am) Passionate about, and since it too became a cult-like following type vehicle, people eventually began calling ME by my car's name, since it was the same as my user name.

I was called Black Ice LSC...and my car was called Black Ice LSC...I would even type about it as if it were more than a car...

so when I found my HHR, and since it wasnt my first color choice, I struggled to come up with a name. How do you name a "gray" car?...I was set on Sunburst Orange...and the dealer screwed me...so I left...and found my beloved Dark Silver HHR a mile up the road.

hours and hours...even phone calls to my girlfriend...she laughed...she knew what I was trying to do, but laughed at my desperation.

then it hit me...when watching one of my favorite movies a while back (Tombstone)...I recalled one scene where Kurt Russell was confronting Billy Bob Thorton, the "house dealer" in the small town...face to face they were...Billy Bob's character reached for his pistol...and Kurt Russell, without even flinching, said
"go ahead....skin it.....skin that Smoke Wagon, and see what happens".

smoke...color of my HHR
wagon...well, sort of, right?

Smoke Wagon...another name for a pistol.

you asked....

Black was my 4th color choice mainly due to the PITA issues of keeping it clean. My heart was always set on the Blue metallic, but no LT2's to be found..and someone beat me to the Dark gray...and after looking at the red metallic, didn't think it was really me...

So, rather then order the 08 in the Blue with just a few options, checked out the black one they had on the pedestal out front with almost every option--I'd been eyeing it every time I drove by. 2 hours after my dealer had him warmed up for me to test drive, Blackie was mine...

The "Sirius" comes from my dorky obsession of the Harry Potter books...Sirius Black, was a damaged soul (and Harry's Godfather), who died a hero...thus in a moment of (true-geekness), Sirius Blackie came to be...

Grimm, because my black Fall Edition reminds me a lot of the hearse the The Brothers Grimm used to drive in the old PC game "Carmageddon".

So I'm editing now because yesterday I named my car Edison.

And today I realized I hated that name, so now my HHR will forever be dubbed "The Chief" in honor of the University of Illinois' mascot which will no longer be dancing at games.

I'm going to try and find a cool chief head decal for the car to go with it.
