Who do you remove the center counsel?

I have a 5 speed tranny and I am trying to figure out how to remove the center counsel. I want to take off both the plastic part around the emergency brake and the shifter itself. Does anyone know how to go about this?

PM ChevyMgr and ask for a blowup of the parts.

Thanks ChevyMgr. That will save me a lot of time and aggravation of figuring out how to remove the counsel unit.

Thanks to ChevyMgr's help, I was able to strike a deal with TWM Performance for a small discount on one of there short shifters. I just have to give them pictures on the counsel dissembley (now that I know how to do it) and shifter change.

I owe you one ChevyMgr!
