No, nothing was dummied on mine. Hahn just displayed it a sign SAYING it was a turbo. I had no idea they were going to do that until after and I got to see a couple pics.

I think every post in this thread has a degree a validity or at the very least gives you something to think about whether you a pro or con to this HHR.
It is not as tough as some would think.

I never said I would not drive it for 20K. I just would not pay $50K. I also have a have a personel bug about Geroge.

None of this is directly related to the work done here on the HHR as I am just and have always been a Dean Jefferies fan the real builder of many of the fames Barris cars. I just hate it when George claims to be the builder of many cars and seldom gives the guys who really built them credit.

I have even worked with George twice in the past. A very Nice guy in a bad coat. I even just saw him 3 weeks ago here in Ohio. George is a good promoter but not really a builder.

Sam his brother was the real builder. Too bad he died too young.

I hope this make it a little clearer it is more a carzy personel bug for me than anything done to the HHR.

Lower the price and remove the Barris part and I give it a

Body completly shaved & top chopped 2". (from his e-bay ad) It sure doesn't look like he chopped the car 2"? But if he did I wonder how he sees out of it?

All our HHR's are different in one way or another, isn't that what makes this so special of a group. We each have our own tastes, doesn't make it bad or good. Just makes it our own.

Life is short, enjoy the ride in your HHR

I am agreeing with you Tim

I like the outside mods, the inside..meh.
For my tastes, the asking price is about 25K too high-even then I'd be "just looking".

Hate to sell it, but for 50K opening bid he may !! Wonder what the reserve is ?
Thanks for all the kind words everyone. As for the build, George has his shop N. Hollywood, but he also uses a shop in O.C. & Corona/Riverside to do his builds as well. Maybe only a hand full of builders left in the U.S. can still do this kind of metal work. Back in their day his bother Sam mainly did all metal work & George desgn, paint, manage, promoted. George stills does designing & pr with a great eye, but as mention others do the fab. This was done at Riverside location. Why I have his signature of approval, mainly verification for buyer.

Yes a tough time to be selling now, especially after watching L.V. Barrett/Jackson & what custom cars go for at their no-reserve. I had this sold last year I thought at a great price, but my bis-partner thought not so an turn down offer. Now she kicking herself because of how economy is now with cars. Be nice to sell, cause I sure need the room. If not just wait till economy better all I can do. Personally I think should keep it. Just like everything else, whan a famous person pass their memorabilia shoots way up. Thank god George still alive. When his time does come, sure allot of his projects be listed on ebay.

I can't believe you would revel in the thought of when someone passed on, that you could profit from it..

Whew !!! You're special !!!

PS: I sell stuff for on eBay maybe 100 Bucks, & have bigger & more pics than you have for this..

4 pics.. Hey man, eBay has a Value pack of 12 pics for .75 cents
which has Zoom & Enlarged pics.

I was going to buy it, but it's not a PANEL, and I'm not liking the gull wing doors. In fact, I don't like orange, either. DISCLAIMER: No offense was meant to those of you that own orange HHRs.
Now, I don't like it at all.
